Getting paid
From balance to money in your hand
A balance in a program account is not money yet. This is the exact process for turning it into a payout, and the mistakes that stop it landing.
The cash-out process, in order
- Check your balance on the program's home page. Compare it with the cash-out minimum shown on their payout page.
- Open the payout or redemption section. Every program has one, usually under "Rewards", "Cash out" or your account menu.
- Choose the method. PayPal, gift card, bank transfer or crypto — whichever the program offers and you can actually receive.
- Enter your payout details exactly as they appear on your ID. Name, address, and any account details must match. This is the step where most payouts get held.
- Submit the request and note the date and the amount in your accounts tracker.
- Wait the stated window. Most programs quote a processing period on their payout page. If it passes, use the date you recorded to chase support.
Payout methods, compared
| Method | Speed | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Usually a few days | Your PayPal name must match the program account name |
| Gift card | Often instant | Usually a lower minimum than cash — but only spendable in one shop |
| Bank transfer | Several working days | Needs full, exact account details; a typo delays it by weeks |
| Crypto | Fast, but irreversible | One wrong character in the wallet address and the money is gone |
Why payouts get held
- Name mismatch. The account is registered in one name and the payout requested in another. Fix: register and cash out under your own real name, always.
- Duplicate accounts. Two accounts from one person on one program. This is the one that most often ends with a frozen balance.
- Not finishing verification. A program may ask you to confirm your email, phone or identity before a payout clears. Do it the day they ask.
- VPN or location mismatch. Using a VPN can make your location contradict your registration, which triggers a review.
- Abandoned tasks. Some balances are only withdrawable once pending tasks settle. Finish what you start.
The tax point
Reward and survey earnings are taxable income in most countries once they pass the local reporting threshold. Keep a simple record: the program, the amount and the date of each payout, straight out of your accounts tracker. It is a small amount for most members, but "small" is not the same as "not reportable". If you are unsure where you stand, that is a question for an accountant, not for us.
Email Payment Account is an information service. Each program sets and processes its own payouts, minimums and verification requirements, and pays you directly. We do not process payouts, hold funds, or influence any program's decision to pay or withhold a balance.
